ABOUT KASHI

Welcome to Kashi, where creativity meets technology! I'm Ana, a mom and web developer who's been creating beautiful things since I was a child selling handmade jewelry. Today, I combine my love for tech with 3D printing to create unique, eco-friendly decorative pieces that give me more precious time with my little one.

The name "Kashi" means oak in Japanese - a symbol of strength and durability that perfectly represents my products and connects to my Portuguese roots, where oak trees are treasured and protected.

WHAT I CREATE

Kashi specializes in custom 3D printed decorative pieces with handmade finishes, using eco-friendly PLA materials derived from plants. My collection includes personalized lithophane lamps, custom keychains, festive ornaments, modern vases, name plates, decorative letters, glass dome night lights, and other unique pieces that bring joy to your space.

About 90% of my products are completely customized to your vision. I blend creativity with cutting-edge technology to create pieces as strong and enduring as the oak tree that inspired my business name.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using the Kashi website and placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent to make a purchase.

Your final order confirmation constitutes full acceptance of the prices, product descriptions, and these Terms and Conditions, which will be the only terms applicable to the contract.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND STOCK

All products are available exclusively online through the Kashi website. Products may have limited quantities and are subject to availability.

I will honor orders received online within the limits of available stock and materials. If a product becomes unavailable after you place your order, I will inform you as soon as possible and offer alternatives or a full refund.

I reserve the right to limit quantities of products offered and to refuse or cancel orders at my discretion, including orders that appear to be placed by resellers, distributors, or for commercial purposes rather than personal use.

PRICING AND PAYMENT

My Pricing Philosophy:

All prices are displayed in Euros and include VAT at the current legal rate applicable at the time of payment. Since most of my work is custom, prices may vary based on your specific requirements including size, complexity, materials, and design time. For highly personalized projects, I'll provide a detailed quote before starting.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. However, the price confirmed in your order confirmation will be honored for your specific order.

Price Changes and Errors:

If a price increase occurs for materials or other factors after you place your order but before production begins, I will inform you immediately. You may choose to proceed with your order by paying the difference, or cancel your order for a full refund.

Occasionally, pricing errors or typographical mistakes may occur on the website. I reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update information, including prices, at any time without prior notice. If a pricing error is discovered after you place your order, I will contact you to offer the choice of proceeding at the correct price or canceling for a full refund.

Full payment is due at the time of order. Production only begins after payment confirmation.

Order Validity:

Orders have a validity period of 5 business days from order confirmation. If payment is not received within this period, the order cannot be validated and will be canceled. Any payment received after this period will be refunded or, with your agreement, applied to a new order at current prices.

Invoice Information:

The information provided for your invoice is entirely your responsibility. Once an invoice is issued, it cannot be reissued with changes. Please ensure all billing information is accurate before completing your order.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Getting Your Order to You:

Shipping costs are calculated based on your order total and destination. You can simulate shipping costs during checkout to see the exact amount before completing your purchase. For detailed delivery information and shipping zones, please visit our dedicated delivery information page. I ship throughout Portugal and internationally via CTT, Portugal's trusted postal service. Shipping costs are paid for by you, the client.

Production Timeframes:

Most orders are completed within 1-5 business days, depending on complexity and customization requirements. During busy periods or when handling multiple orders, I may extend timelines to ensure every piece gets the attention it deserves.

All timeframes begin after payment confirmation and your final design approval.

Circumstances Beyond My Control:

I am not responsible for delays or non-compliance due to circumstances beyond my control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, supplier failures, CTT postal service issues, or other force majeure situations that may affect the production or delivery of your orders.

THE CUSTOMIZATION JOURNEY

Design Collaboration:

For custom pieces, I'll send you a design render before I start production. You get one free revision to make sure everything's perfect.

Once you give me the green light, I start creating your piece with care.

Additional changes after this final approval will be considered a new order with extra costs, but I'll always discuss this with you first. This ensures that each project gets the time and attention it deserves to maintain the quality that Kashi is known for.

Your Part in the Process:

To create something amazing together, I need you to provide clear, high-quality images or detailed information for customization.

Custom orders require written design approval. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information provided (names, measurements, colors). Please double-check all names, texts, and specifications before approving the final design - I want to get it right the first time, but the final responsibility for data accuracy is yours!

YOUR RIGHT TO CHANGE YOUR MIND

Standard Return Policy (14-Day Withdrawal Right):

You have 14 days from receiving your order to return it if you change your mind. No explanation needed - I get it, sometimes things just don't work out as expected.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform me of your decision by email to hi@kashi.pt, or by filling the return section on your "my account" section of the website, before the 14-day period expires.

Custom Product Exception:

Since I create most pieces specifically for you, custom products cannot be returned under the 14-day withdrawal right. This includes:

  • Products with personalized colors chosen by you
  • Items with custom names or text
  • Pieces made to your specific measurements
  • Any product customized according to your particular request

Digital Products:

No refunds are available for digital products or files once delivered, as these cannot be returned.

Return Conditions:

Returned products must be in perfect condition for resale. This means the product must:

  • Not have been assembled, mounted, or used
  • Be in its original packaging in perfect condition
  • Include all instruction manuals and accessories
  • Show no signs of wear, damage, or anomalies

Return Process:

If you're returning a standard item, it must be in original condition with intact packaging. You'll be responsible for return shipping costs to send the item back to me, except when the return is due to production defects or products damaged during shipping.

I'll process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item in acceptable condition.

ORDER CANCELLATION BY KASHI

When I Might Need to Cancel:

I'm committed to creating your perfect piece, but sometimes unexpected situations arise. I reserve the right to cancel orders in the following circumstances:

  • Out of stock materials or filaments needed for your project
  • Obvious pricing errors or technical website glitches (I'm human too!)
  • Shipping cost calculation errors
  • Supplier unavailability that prevents me from completing your order
  • Technical issues with my 3D printing equipment that cannot be resolved within reasonable timeframes
  • Orders that appear to be placed for resale or commercial distribution purposes

My Promise to You:

I'll contact you within 48 hours of your order if cancellation becomes necessary. You'll receive a full refund within 14 days through your original payment method with zero additional costs to you - this one's on me!

I'll always try to suggest alternative solutions or similar products when possible. As a small, mom-owned business, I understand how disappointing this can be, and I'll do my best to find creative alternatives to bring your vision to life.

QUALITY GUARANTEE

For Physical Products:

Every piece comes with a 3-year legal warranty covering manufacturing defects and conformity issues. This covers problems with how I made your item or if it doesn't match what I promised. Normal wear and tear or damage from misuse isn't covered - these are decorative pieces, not toys. They should be kept away from small children and heat sources.

For Digital Content:

Any digital files I provide come with a 2-year warranty.

Getting Help:

If something's not right, just contact me through any of my available channels. Describe the issue and send photos if I ask - I'll make it right through repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate under warranty law.

PRODUCT INFORMATION AND ACCURACY

Color and Image Accuracy:

I make every effort to display colors and images of products as accurately as possible. However, I cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of colors will be perfectly accurate. Slight variations between screen colors and actual product colors are normal.

3D Printing Characteristics:

As handcrafted 3D printed items, small imperfections and minor variations are part of the artisanal nature of these products and add to each piece's unique character.

Information Updates:

While I strive to keep all product information current and accurate, occasionally there may be typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, or availability. I reserve the right to correct any errors and to update or change information at any time without prior notice.

RESPECTING CREATIVITY

My Designs:

All original designs created by Kashi belong to me and are protected by intellectual property rights. When you provide images for customization, you're confirming you have the right to use them. I respect intellectual property and expect the same consideration.

Prohibited Uses:

You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any Kashi products or designs for commercial purposes without my express written permission. Products purchased are for your personal use only.

You may not use Kashi products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, nor may you violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS

I only collect the personal information needed to process and fulfill your order. Everything I do follows GDPR regulations and my detailed Privacy Policy. Your trust means everything to my small business.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

My liability is limited to the amount paid for the product, except in cases provided for by law. As a small artisanal business, this limitation protects the sustainability of the business while I maintain my commitment to resolving any issues related to your products.

I do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. I may remove the service for indefinite periods or cancel it at any time for maintenance or updates without prior notice.

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG

Making Complaints:

If you're not happy with something, I want to know. Please reach out to me first at hi@kashi.pt so I can try to resolve any issues directly. If needed, you can also file a complaint through Portugal's Electronic Complaints Book at www.livroreclamacoes.pt - I'll respond within 15 working days.

I reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

LEGAL DETAILS

Portuguese law governs these terms, and any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Braga courts. I may update these terms occasionally - when I do, I'll let you know through my website. The version in effect when you place your order is what applies to your purchase.
